Small and low-profile UXGA (2 Mega) camera module developed

We are pleased to announce the development of small and low-profile UXGA (2 Mega) camera modules with or without a macro function. This is an extension of our previous product line of camera modules which have been very favorably accepted in the market for their downsized design. Their specifics are outlined below.

Recent requirements for camera modules have been more toward smaller and thinner configurations to help prevent the necessity of larger mobile phone designs due to additional functions. In addition, diversified picture taking scenes require inclusion of a macro function to enable near-distance shooting.

The 'small and low-profile UXGA camera module' and its 'with-a-macro-function version' we developed this time are our answers to this market need.

These two new products, being only 4.5 mm thin, which is the industry's best level for 8 mm sq. UXGA type modules, and made possible by optimization of their optical system, will help design phones ever smaller and thinner.

Their excellent performance under low illumination will make photography under many conditions a pleasant experience. Further, near-distance macro shooting is a reality with the 'small and low-profile UXGA camera module’.
