SMK Develops OGS Capacitive Touch Panel with
Vibration Feedback Function "CapBeat Touch OGS".
Thinner and Lighter Design Improves Operation Feeling.
SMK Corporation has developed One Glass Solution (OGS) capacitive touch panel with Force Feedback (FFB) “CapBeat Touch OGS”. The FFB touch panel uses SMK’s unique technology to make touch panel vibrate by piezoelectric elements.
As capacitive touch panels do not require input force, the users cannot obtain tactile sensation when operating. Therefore, in applications such as automotive application where sure input operation is essential, the demands for FFB function are expanding, which increases operation feeling by providing vibration when inputting on a touch panel.
SMK has already been producing double glazed (a cover panel and a glass sensor) capacitive touch panel with FFB “CapBeat Touch”. The newly developed product was upgraded with a thinner and lighter design by using OGS touch panel consisting of a single glass, resulting in clearer vibration and improved operation feeling.
Functional films such as anti-glare/reflection/fouling films can be pasted on the touch panel surface.
Available printing colors are: Black for frame. White, smoke gray, etc. for icons on the frame.
Shapes are customizable upon customer request.
Car navigation equipment, automotive center consoles, control panels for factory automation equipment, etc.
