SMK Achieves TISAX Certification for Information Security in the Automotive Industry Corporate News

SMK Corporation (President, CEO and COO: Yasumitsu Ikeda) announced today that it has obtained the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) certification, an information security assessment developed by the German Association of Automotive Industry (VDA).

TISAX is a mechanism that standardizes the assessment methods for information security management systems of suppliers in the automotive industry and allows the sharing of these assessment results. Suppliers receive an assessment by third-party certification bodies based on criteria developed by the VDA. In recent years, the importance of information security management across the entire supply chain has increased, and there is a growing trend, particularly among European automobile manufacturers, to require TISAX certification as a condition for starting or continuing business relationships.

SMK will continue to obtain this certification at other locations and further enhance its information security levels to expand its business in the car electronics market.
