The sensor can detect the in-cabin passengers including child left behind and intruder as well by mmWave radar technology. Analysing the reflected wave from the human body, the sensor can detect the occupant's/intruders' presence, occupants'/intruders' position and the number of occupants and identification of the body size(Adult/Child) from the micro movement of the body with a high degree of accuracy. We are utilising this technology to contribute to the prevention of child left behind accidents, which have become a social issue in recent years, through the child presence detection system.

Use Cases

  • Number of Occupants Detection

    A sensor installed in the ceiling detects the number of occupants in the cabin contactlessly. In addition, our unique algorithm can distinguish the body size of the occupants and thus determine "where" and "who (adults/children/pets)" is in the cabin.

  • Child Presence Detection

    The above-mentioned body size identification technology outputs an alert when a child is left in the cabin, helping to prevent accidents involving left-behind children. Meets the requirements of EuroNCAP 23/25/25+ CPD, the new vehicle assessment programme for assessing vehicle safety in Europe.

  • Intruder Detection

    Intruder detection as a security feature that is activated when the vehicle is parked and locked. The system is equipped with an alert when an intruder enters the vehicle interior (or the area around the vehicle).

Sensors in the vehicle's ceiling sense what is going on inside. In the demonstration video, you can see a demonstration of each of the three functions - the child left behind, occupant detection, and intruder detection - compared with the actual interior of the vehicle.

The GUI shows "where" and "who" (adults/children/pets) are in the cabin.

The GUI alerts you to "where" in the cabin and shows you where children have been left behind.

3. Intruder detection feature’s GUI

The GUI alerts the user if an intruder enters the vehicle interior. It also displays where the intruder is at the same time.
