SMK Develops Bluetooth® Smart Sensor Unit for the IoT Market For Ease and Expansion of Wireless Connectivity
SMK Corporation develops a wireless sensor unit that is supported by the industry-standard wireless protocol Bluetooth® Smart.
Easy to install, the sensor is extremely small with dimensions of φ30mm x 14mm in height (approximately the size of a PET bottle cap). Loaded with temperature, lighting and motion sensors, this sensor can be used for a variety of applications.
Due to the spread of the concept of Internet of Things (IoT), wireless communication-supported devices are becoming to be connected and controlled on internet each other. The new sensor unit can acquire data such as temperature, humidity and lighting by using the Bluetooth® Smart protocol by connecting to a set top box or a gateway device that can easily upload the compiled data and results to your smartphone or tablet.
SMK Corporation is planning to expand our lineup of future products for the IoT market including the "BT/IR Sticker" wireless IR blaster that was announced last year.
