 SMK has developed the new FB-12 Series, as part of the FB Series large current connectors for battery connections in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs, thereby expanding its product range.
 In recent years, the demand for larger battery capacities and faster charging capabilities has increased as mobile devices have become increasingly lightweight, thin, and compact. Consequently, there are growing demands for even smaller and thinner connectors that can handle higher currents. To meet these demands, the FB-12 Series has achieved the following features:

• Large current capacity
  The power contact supports a rated current of 15A. This is approximately double the current capacity of the previous FB-8 Series, which allows for rapid charging and high-load applications.
   
• Space-saving design
  It is designed to be compact, with a stack height of 0.6mm and external dimensions of 1.9mm x 4.4mm. This reduces the occupied area on the board by around 16% compared to the FB-8 Series.
   
• Highly reliable contact structure
  A double contact structure is adopted for terminal contacts to improve stability when mated.
